ALER joins roundtable on competitiveness and accessibility in the energy sector

Pedro Clemente, ALER’s Planning and Partnerships Manager, took part this week in the Roundtable on competitiveness and accessibility in the energy sector, promoted by the Ministry of Environment and Energy, in close coordination with the Ministry of Finance/GPEARI and AICEP.

In his intervention, he addressed the role of international and regional cooperation in accelerating the energy transition.

This meeting, which also included the participation of APREN (an ALER member), was part of the visit to Portugal and Cabo Verde by a group of Executive Directors of the World Bank. 

The objective was to foster dialogue between national energy sector entities and the World Bank delegation, addressing the main challenges and opportunities of the clean energy transition in Portugal, as well as identifying best practices with potential for replication in other geographies, namely Cabo Verde.
