ALER strengthens its positioning in Angola through participation in strategic events

ALER was in Angola this week to closely follow two strategic events, reinforcing its role in institutional dialogue and in promoting investment in the energy sector.

During his visit to the country, Pedro Clemente (Chief Operating Officer of ALER) participated in the AO–EU Lobito Corridor Business Forum 2026, an event that brought together public institutions, investors and companies to discuss the potential of the Lobito Corridor as a structuring axis for development in infrastructure, energy and industry, within the framework of the European Union’s Global Gateway initiative.

ALER’s participation in this forum is part of its commitment to contributing to a more attractive, transparent and investment‑friendly business environment, while also supporting the development of the local business fabric. In this context, during ALER’s intervention at the event, the importance of mapping and structuring investment project pipelines was also highlighted, with a view to diversifying the energy mix and accelerating the energy transition.

ALER also participated in a Meeting with Portuguese Companies in Angola, organized by the Portuguese Embassy at the Camões Institute, focused on strengthening business partnerships and identifying concrete opportunities for cooperation and investment. This moment enabled deeper engagement with the private sector and further reinforced ALER’s positioning as a platform connecting markets, institutions and investors.

These engagements highlighted the need to develop projects that, beyond promoting the energy transition, directly contribute to economic growth and job creation, particularly in strategic sectors such as industrialisation, agribusiness and mobility.

Through this on‑the‑ground presence, ALER strengthens its role as an active partner in promoting a more dynamic and integrated energy ecosystem, aligned with sustainable development priorities and the mobilisation of international investment, contributing to transforming opportunities into projects with tangible impact in Angola and the region.
